What will my first time in your dojang be like?

You’ll try out your first class with one of our experienced instructors. This will give you and opportunity to learn some of the basic skills for Taekwondo. Our instructor will make sure you are performing the movements in a safe and controlled environment.

How often do you recommend I come to the class?

We recommend two to three days a week in order to keep your learning and training consistent, however we do offer programs for anywhere between one and five days a week!

I’m not in very good shape… can I do this?

Anyone can begin Taekwondo at any point in their life regardless of age, weight, or experience! Taekwondo is full mind and body exercise. We focus not only on physical training, but mental as well.

Will I get hurt? Is martial arts dangerous?

Martial Arts are rooted in self-defense. The first line of self-defense is to avoid physical conflict. If physical conflict cannot be avoided then one must be able to defend themselves and their loved ones. In Taekwondo, as the student advances in rank, we will learn sparring with full safety gear. There are always risks of injury with sparring, but with training we aim to reduce that risk. We will never have a student compete in something they aren’t prepared for.
